Has anyone in the MSM mentioned that the Pew Poll shows that the Republican brand is poison?

1. The M$M cannot be bothered to report how poisonous the R brand is.

They are too busy fawning over the Tea Party racists and the other Johnny-Come-Lately right wing protest groups to inform the public about the failed policies and views of the puppet party.

9. Gotta keep up appearances -- they'll provide plausibility for the next election
theft.

8. The graph actually shows what percentage of each party
trusts government, not what percentage of the public trusts each party.

According to the linked article.

Still, the rapublicans are despised.

10. The GOP could refresh itself by rebooting into a far more
citizen-aligned party with a far more people-directed agenda, but to do that, they'd have to concede at least this next presidential election and shove the fundie nutbags over the cliff.

If they aren't able or willing to do the major work that survival would require, then they deserve the outcome that they seem to be working toward now -- an increasingly shrill and obstructionist pack of regional anti-science racists.

And I don't see any of their potential ticket leaders inspiring any significant change.

Advantage: The Obama Re-Election Committee.

11. That's hy they've been cleverly rebranding themselves as the so-called "Tea PArty"
Tea Party sells better in today's market.

It's all about marketing.

14. Hmm...
It is a combination of factors that keeps these facts from surfacing properly.

The faux/noise right wing radio system has an obvious vested interest in ignoring this information.

The mainstream media has a vested interest in carrying the republicans for the first few rounds as conflict and a solid fight sells more ad space.

Additionally there are corporate interests that have to impress upon democrats and progressives that the right wing is a factor in hopes of making us give in and go moderate.
