Should we give Libertarians there own little test ground out in the middle of nowhere?
Just so they can learn the hard way how their free market theories would fail?

1. I've thought the same thing
Let's give them their own "Galt's Gulch" and see how they fare.

3. There is such place.

It's called Colorado Springs, Colorado. Home of the Focus on the Family and many ultra right-wing fuckwits. They've gutted public service to nearly nothing, and they're still looking for ways to cut more.

5. Actually, I've thought of that for
repubs also. Any state that votes a majority Republican will not have to pay any federal taxes. Of course, they will not receive any federal funding of any kind (their state and sales taxes would sky rocket). Let's see how long it takes for the majority of them to either pack up and move to a liberal state or make damn sure they vote majority Democrat in the next election.

And the people who would love that kind of Spartan life style would be limited to being there and not driving everyone else crazy with their right wing nut ideas.

8. They have had one for a couple generations
My 'neighborhood' specifically. And the experiment is a huge bust. No roads, no reliable water pipes/sewage pipes, buildings in shambles, kids failing

Oh, I would love for you to send some libertarians for a tour. They would RUN away as fast as they could.

10. Well then, get the party started!
BTW, you do a great job alienating people here - driving them further to the left!

Keep up the good work!

18. In fact, many libertarians vote Democrat
In a Rasmussen poll in 2008, Libertarians were said to favor Obama over McCain by a comfortable margin, 53%-38%: http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/elections2/election_20082/2008_presidential_election/libertarians_favor_obama_and_other_looks_at_election_2008

13. Consider Arizona
This state is very into the libertarian movement and look at what is going on here. Still think they are worth dealing with?

20. I've often wanted to give all the backward repukes their own country.
They can call it 'Backwardistan' and we'll build a high fence around it. They'll have to grow their own food, purify their own water, scoop their own shit, build their own roads, and figure out how to predict the weather.

And we WON'T give them any foreign aid, because that's 'socialist'.
