April 26 is now Boobquake Day
In response to the Iranian cleric's claim about scantily clad women causing earthquakes, young women everywhere plan to wear cleavage-showing clothes on April 26 to see if it causes an earthquake.

What a great holiday, and only a week after 420. ;-)

Proving that statement incorrect is one thing, but failing to participate in an action that further serves to lessen women to the sum of their body parts, alone, helps young women see that they are more than eye candy.

19. you are right on with the obvious of this action. to actually challenge this thru intellectual
comment and conversation as opposed to strippin down would be the obvious challenge. yet women have adapted to strippin down whenever they want their voice heard. resorting to their sexuality as their only commodity.

Since 1979, Iranian clerics have been totally open to intellectual conversation and western ideas when it comes to women. Perhaps you could place a call and straighten this whole mess out. While you're at it, could you solve the nuclear problem?

on the absurdity of a female approaching it in an intellectual way? when the only suggestion from that male is strip down, so they can hoot and holler, act like a bunch of ..... ?

virgin or whore for males. one or the other.

the issue with iran clerics are not womens boobs. it is men. the issue with your post is not womens boobs, but you.

the issue women have to deal with is resorting to using sexuality as their only commodity in being heard.

23. That was a lecture? Ok, whatever.
I learned of this 'event' from my 20 year old daughter. I'm taking the same tongue in cheek approach to this as she is. You can see it however you want. Approach it with all the hang-ups and stereotypes you desire. Wear a burka in counter-protest. That would amuse me just as much as boobquake. After all, I keep hearing that whatever a woman does with her own body is her own damn business.

further, burka? hang ups?... just right there with the other guys that dismiss the female, point the finger to ridicule or shame.

ask your daughter why she feels the answer to blaming women for mens behavior is flashing her tits. listen to her. explore the subject. look at it from different angles. see if maybe you might actually gain some insight. if your daughter may actually have a revelation. or

flash the tits... daughter, feel empowered. daddy is there to hoot and holler.
