My prediction on what the teabags will do on immigration reform.
Edited on Fri Apr-23-10 04:18 PM by Joanne98
They will push for WORK PERMITS!

The GOP, The Chamber of Commerce, the corporations, the banksters and the conservative base in this country are NOT against immigration. What they are against are immigrates with RIGHTS!

Worker rights and voting rights!

The "Tea Party" being nothing more than the conservative base LOVES slave labor.

They love slavery so much they having been trying to bring it back for 30 years.

This is why they have NEVER attacked the corporations who hire the illegals.

If work permits are permitted to be in the Immigration Reform Bill it will create a permanent flow of slave labor exempted from worker rights and wage laws. Adam Smith part three! It's a corporation's dream come true! A globalized chain gang!

I WILL NOT support worker permits.

Just nationalize the ones that are here and give them their rights!

I hope the unions speak out on this SOON!

PS The Republicans are responsible for the drug war on the border! The GOP and their "just say no" "zero tolerance" policy has been a TOTAL FAILURE! The only thing that will stop the crime and gang violence is to LEGALIZE DRUG USE!

The Gov of Nevada has a lot of nerve whining about the war on the border. It's been people like her that have caused the whole problem in the first place.

2. No they won't
Corporations love underpaid immigrants with few/no legal recourses to report abuses. But the tea baggers hate foreigners. So the teabaggers will push for mass deportation while corporations will not.

3. Conservatives never go against corporations. If they do it will be a first.

7. They do on immigration
That is actually a conflict issue in the conservative movement. The right wing authoritarians hate foreigners and open borders, but corporations love them. At the end of the day corporations get their way, but the average teabagger really can't be expected to do corporate bidding on this issue. They will do corporate bidding on most other issues (taxes, health care, the environment), but not on immigration.
