Arizona Democrats - this is YOUR chance.
Time to oust the teabaggers that you call Republicans out of the Legislature and get rid of the fruitcake, Brewer, while you're at it.

You can narrow the gap or take the majority of the state - with many Arizonans unhappy with the stupid anti-immigration law that will hit their pocketbook.

Trust me on this - Seize the chance, and take full advantage of it!

1. Hit that state in the pocketbook. Every potential tourist should worry
that they could be picked up for looking sideways at a cop and God only knows what it will take to proove citizenship. I will never visit that state as long as that law is on the books. Everyone, not just people of color, should be worried about this.

5. Tell Ariz. Chamber of Commerce you will NOT be visiting
( they do not know you had no plans to visit anyhow)

Tell them we do not want East Germany in our country.

11. Thanks for the information. Just emailed them. Here is what I said:
was planning a visit to your state this summer until I heard about the bill signed today allowing the police to stop and detain anyone they suspected was not in this country legally. I am 4th generation Irish so, being white, I would probably pass muster unless some police officer didn't like Irish people, but this law is so onerous, I think I'll visit someplace else this summer and wait until you folks come to your senses

10. They're Back On My "Do Not Fly & Buy" List
For several years I traveled to see Spring Training...not any more. This draconian law not only should bring great anger and fear to Hispanics but a dangerous message to any group that isn't white and "law abiding".

Actions have consequences and this state now goes into the list that inclues doing any travel or business with firms in the deep red states (rushpubicans in charge of the governorship and senate seats). I know others who will be doing the same.

2. The majority are happy with this bill.
I am not.

My neighbors will now be afraid to report crime or cooperate with
the authorities.

18. McCain was born in the Canal Zone
Panama was part of Columbia, before another republican president wanted a shorter route to the pacific ocean, the president was the first Roosevelt. The Columbians didn't want America to build the canal so like most American presidents he created Panama out of the northern part of Columbia, nothing has changed,we are still stealing other peoples land.

6. I see that you know little about Arizona politics...
Instead of a boycott, how about please supporting our Democratic candidate for Governor, Terry Goddard. http://www.terrygoddard.com/ The wacky legislators won't be "ousted", an unfortunate fact of life here in Arizona. We need another Democratic Governor to veto the crazy shit the legislature passes. When Janet Napolitano was Governor they knew she'd veto the crazy stuff, so they didn't waste their time. Since she's been gone they've pushed every anti-choice, pro-gun, anti-immigrant law they can through. It's a sad time for Arizona.

14. Thank you Al. All this boycott Arizona talk is making me really sad.
We need help, not a boycott.

8. Problem is the Democratic Leader here is a liar
He made the mistake before of not supporting our Democratic Candidates, and again he is putting all the money into the Governor's race while not helping the lower offices. He had said he wouldn't make that mistake again and here he is doing it again.

12. (shrug) They had their chance with all of those state legislator elections.
They voted for them. They are part of the problem - the root of the problem, actually.
