A new level of paranoia... seriously. Apparently we will become a radicalized muslim country
Has anyone else been told this? Because honestly it's the first time I've heard it... Of course to counter that it would seem the group that is spouting it calls for extreme measures, there's no sense trying to talk to these people, they know everything there is to know, facts or rationale don't matter. Is this a new talking point or is it one that I've totally missed? Maybe this is the fringe of the fringe, I have no idea.... it is a family issue sadly...

1. Are they refering to
George Bush trying to sell US ports to Dubai, or his close dealings with the Saudi Monarchy?

3. Good point, I don't know where this has come from, but it is very disturbing....
How can any group of people feel that every Muslim is radicalized and therefore it is perfectly okay to wish them all harm (I'm putting this very nicely from what I was told) and how the hell would I be lucky enough to have a family member involved....

2. It's much more likely we will become a radicalized Christian country
If the people that spread this crap get their way.

4. That was my reply, but there was no answer to that... you just cannot take the supreme hate out of
them... a billion plus people and this group (I don't know how large it is) would like to do what they'd like to do because all are radical? I swear I'm just shaking my head....

5. The problem is that you can't argue with a closed mind
And most of these idjits minds are not only closed but nailed and riveted shut.

6. Do you know where this originated from? For the family member it seems to be fairly recent over the
last year I'd say, but the outright threat is within the last week... And you're right, that mind is closed shut and that is IT. No matter what I point out it's no matter. Oh and coinciding with this they have found Christianity, not that this is related, I don't know if it is or not... but the rhetoric is dangerous. I don't hear this particular speech with the tea party crowd, so where's it from?

7. Can't remember offhand but it's been around for years.
Even money says it can be traced back to the RW fundy crowd.

8. I don't know this person
but is it possible that in their case it comes from whomever it was "helped" them "find" Christianity? Is it a particularly virulent right-wing form of Christianity?

9. I don't know whoever swayed him, or rather the group that swayed him. He did mention this & the
Christianity in the same breath, so perhaps they are related. Do we have this type of movement in the Country?

11. I'm not sure exactly what type of movement you mean.
Are you asking if there are extreme right-wing Christian movements? Yes, of course there are.

Are you asking if there are people who fear that we may become a radicalized Muslim nation? Yes again.

Are you asking if there is any overlap between these two groups? Yes, absolutely!

15. Thanks, do you have any research information on this particular wing that believes we will become
radicalized? Apparently this hate group (I won't even call them Christians) believe that this will happen within 20 years... It is the first time in 40 years I have heard such a thing.... I am so beyond saddened.

10. Typical Radical BS
Birthers and other radical imbeciles alike need a continuous flow of steaming bullshit to survive. Thus, Obama being labeled a Kenyan Muslim.

12. What I Heard On A "Christian" Station The Other Day
I was scanning around...living dangerously. I came upon a Chicago "Christian" station with a female host (Sandy Rios) and "guest" "discussing" how Muslims were infiltrating our country. I just caught the tail end (which was plenty for me)...and in just 30 or so seconds of listening, I "learned"

1.) Since President Obama admitted he read the Koran, he must be a Muslim...why else would he read it?

2.) Muslims are infiltrating the CIA and FBI to undermine the government and society from within.

3.) Obama aide Valerie Jarret spent her teenage years living in Iran (ooga booga booga)

Said as "fact"...no room to question. Praise the Lord...

14. The Podcast Is On The Website...
I'm afraid to contaminate my puter by going there...but to use a bad phrase here...from "god's ears". I definitely have heard a racheting up of the "Obama is a Muslim" noise in recent months...especially among Likudniks who want to bomb Iran.
