"We fought a war against national socialism and lost a lot of good people under Hitler’s tirade,"

said Rep. Mike Ritze, the author of HJR 1054. "We have this legislation to protect our citizens from being under control of this European-style socialism.”

The House of Representatives easily passed a measure Wednesday that would allow Oklahomans to opt out of the national health care system, which the legislation’s author called "European, Canadian-style, socialized medicine crammed down our throats.” Advertisement

House Joint Resolution 1054 won House approval 71-27 and now goes to the Senate.

HJR 1054 would protect Oklahomans "from this tsunami that’s coming at us in the form of socialized Obamacare,” said Ritze, R-Broken Arrow.

5. I know quite a few people who live in Oklahoma,
they are smart, articulate, and overwhelming liberal in both their politics and their social outlook.

How on earth can that state have such a moronic legislature? Their governor is a bright guy - what happened to the rest??

I do not understand.

During the past year, 825,000 Oklahomans — 22 percent of the state's population — received medical help through one of the health care programs administered by the state's Medicaid provider, the Oklahoma Health Care Authority, CEO Mike Fogarty told members of a House budget subcommittee that appropriates health care dollars.

7. That one sentence proves he does not know the meaning of either
'socialism' nor 'tirade'.

Why do American voters elect idiots?

10. This Obama is Hitler shit needs to stop. The endgame is pretty clear
and I really don't like where this is heading. Because if an armed wingnut actually comes to believe that , , ,

As to Mike Ritze -- great, deny improved healthcare to your citizens,

14. the british national health service is a direct result of wartime solidarity
he's pissing on the graves of all the british soldiers who went and fought and often died to crush nazism, then, if they came back at all, came back and voted overwhelmingly for labour's socialist programme in 1945.
