I'm an evil DUer!!
Edited on Sat May-01-10 04:14 PM by Va Lefty
Little story. I was at the ABC store today. When I got to the cashier I noticed that a man who had checked out ahead of me was walking around his car looking in the windows which were up. Then he started checking his pockets, apparently looking for his keys which he had either locked inside or lost. As I exited the store I walked toward the man preparing to offer help or the use of my cell, that is until a saw the bumper sticker on his car proclaiming "Repeal Obambacare? Yes we can!" At this point I decided this wingnut didn't need any help form this "Socialist" and got in my truck and left.

6. You should have helped him.
Then told him that you were a socialist and believed that *everyone* deserves a little help, no matter who they are.

;)

13. If someone needed help getting from a burning home with
McCain/Palin stickers in the window you wouldn't help?

Is this what progressivism has become?

14. Sorry but I can't equate a burning house w/ locking your keys in your car
Edited on Sat May-01-10 04:30 PM by Va Lefty

15. In my world there is a huge difference between locked up
or lost car keys and a burning home or a burning car for that matter, YMMV.

18. Missed opportunity if you ask me....
...to engage in conversation that, with tact, and logic, might have swayed one man's opinion. The aid you chose not to give could have made opening the door a little easier. Might not have changed anything, but I have a lot of opportunities where I live to engage, and although my "victories" have been far and few between, I am not batting zero. I do however, understand the satisfaction you felt by deciding not to help the ignorant. Thanks.

19. So, exactly how could you have helped someone who locked their keys in the car?
I'm sure there were plenty of telephones where he could call his wife or a tow service
