7. Jobs, jobs, jobs...
not until every person who needs a job is employed can we even remotely consider other issues at the top of the list.

11. Well, considering that will never happen, you've sort of set up a false premise
There will always be people in between jobs, even in a near perfect economic climate.

8. The economy will likely be the prime issue
as well as financial reform, energy reform, campaign finance reform, etc.

But still, it should be the ECONOMY.

9. Economy and the National Debt
Not good for our side. Voters usually blame the party in power for not making the economy better and the American people only seem to obsess about the national debt when Democrats are in office.

Nevertheless, let's work hard and do our best. We've got a hard-fought, well-earned health care reform law to protect and it's imperative that we keep the tea-baggers out of power. The words "House Speaker John Boehner" sounds even scarier than "Speaker Newt Gingrich."

Or some such nonsense promoted by the mainstream RW corporate media to distract people from real issues.

13. Jobs = Visceral . . . . . . all else: Too Esoteric for American Low Info Moro . . . er . . . Voters
There will actually be noise on all these issues, but the real turning point will be jobs. Everything else is a distraction when people are personally hurting.

The Professional Fomenters will try to gin up some issue or another that we haven't even thought of.

14. Size of government. Nothing else will come close.
Size of government will be the most important issue to at least 40-50% of the voters this fall. The economy will be second at 25-30%.

in the next few months, it will be a good year.

17. They'll try desperately to make it about the deficit but with 400,000
long term unemployed exhausting the last tier of the unemployment extension per month by then, it will be about the LACK of jobs despite the weak stimulus and wall street gains.
