Gov. Charlie Crist finds man trapped in car, reassures driver until help arrives
PENSACOLA, Florida — A trapped driver has received some comfort from an unexpected source: Florida Gov. Charlie Crist.

Crist came across a flipped car while he was traveling to Pensacola Naval Air Station on Saturday. The driver was still inside.

The governor calmly talked to the man until rescue workers arrived. He asked the man whether his arm was OK and told him to relax. Crist told the man: "I was in an accident once in high school. I was in an SUV. It flipped and went into a ditch. You'll be OK."

Crist also offered water to the man, who told him that he worked at a Waffle House. When he returned to his vehicle after crews arrived on the scene, Crist said the man was "going to be OK."

Reading the comments from the knuckle dragging teabaggers makes you hope he does well. People like them need to be expelled from the body politic if not the gene pool.

5. They probably have a very good reason to be upset with Crist
Did he give the man water or did he charge him for it

Because if he gave it then they feel he's probably encouraging this man to expect lots of things for free

8. Good point.
The baggers will probably run a commercial for Rubio calling Crist
the "Socialist Samaritan" after this incident.

What a screwed up bunch of Murikans.

10. Absolutely! This is the guy they DROVE out of their party on a rail
All because he embraced Obama's help for the states...

Which, in reality, this year saved Florida from having to make horrific cuts across the board. In fact, Florida's education budget increased.

Makes you wonder... He looks like a pretty damn good Republican to me.

19. since 1969
"The Blazer started out in 1969 on a shortened K10 pickup frame, and was basically GM's answer to the Ford Bronco, International Scout and the Jeep Cherokee/Wagoneer series (and perhaps to a lesser extent the Jeep CJ series)"

20. And Suburbans, and Jeeps, and the old International Scout
They've been making the Suburban since 1935. The only new thing about SUVs is marketing them to people who would normally buy other cars.
