Richard Clarke just said something shocking about bomb
He said "the Oklahoma City bomberS" got away. He then said "they" referring to that.

Does Richard Clarke, the man who knows more about terrorism than probably anyone else think someone else was in that Ryder truck in OK City??

1. Nah the two people prosecuted for it
walked away. We only got McVay that fast since he was stopped for something else and was waiting for release from a local jail.

7. But John Doe #2 was not ever identified.

More people could have been involved?

12. John Doe #2 was identified.
He was just another customer in the rental truck office that day. He was found and cleared of any connection to McVeigh.

Clarke's referring to Nichols.

14. Do you have a link reflecting this?
I admit to being in Central America during this time frame and having just Armed Forces TV, I may have missed this ... I can't get a link from a simple Google search.

I'd appreciate if you could direct me to a web site that reflects John Doe #2 was just a customer?

15. No, I haven't got a link.
But if you consider getting internet access, you could look it up.

Google is a web site where you can search for things, and wikipedia is kind of like an encyclopedia, only on computers.

16. so I googled...
...and I found that significant evidence was apparently withheld and the end of the story not told, still.

I'm linking to a Mother Jones article of 2009, featured on Amy Goodman's Democracy Now. I don't know how you roll, but I trust Mother Jones and Amy Goodman.

17. Thank-you.
I should have a better grasp on history. Unfortunately, since I was not in country during this tragic time, I didn't have the access to 24/7 USA News.

Thanks again. :hi:

4. He, like some, think Tim McVeigh did not act alone
I do not know whether he did or not - but Reno shut down any further investigation once they caught McVeigh, so we will never know

9. McVeigh's co-conspirator was Terry Nichols.
Known, captured and convicted.

11. No, No, No, No, No... He meant "got away" from the truck before knowing if it went off.
KO asked Clark, "didn't he (Times Square bomber) break the first rule, getting away without being sure it went off, even if he went up with it?"

Clark responded that OKC bombers got away (from the truck) before it went off, though they weren't that far from it.

That's all, nothing more.

Move along now, nothing to see here.

:P

18. transcript of Richard Clarke on OK City bomberS (plural) May 3
From the Countdown transcript of May 3:

CLARKE: But that doesn‘t make me feel that much better. And the fact is,

someone was able to drive a truck bomb into Times Square, pull up on the

sidewalk, leave the car running with its flashers on and get away. They

could have done that with a bomb that worked.

OLBERMANN: Now, the fact that they did get away—does that not

violate supposedly the first law of what would actually work, which is you

can‘t leave any evidence? You can‘t leave a truck-full of evidence? You

have to make sure it goes up even if that means you‘re in it when it goes

up?

CLARKE: No, not necessarily. I mean, the Oklahoma City bombers

managed to get away too, although they were relatively close when the bomb

went off.

.....

bombers plural? they?
