Scumbag Ted Nugent's North American Tour
Edited on Mon May-03-10 10:50 PM by WhoIsNumberNone
Massey Energy shill Ted Nugent's 2010 tour is kicking off on May 15th. Apart from a couple of NRA rallies and county fairs he's mostly playing small clubs and casinos. For a list of clubs to boycott, click this link: http://www.tednugent.com/events/

And anybody who wants to hang out in the parking lots with signs depicting dead miners and polluted rivers, feel free.

And of course, notify all your local trade unions. Ol' Ted sure hates those commie unions...

Somebody who shits his pants should be cited by civil authorities as a disease risk.

We have to protect our families.

2. July 23rd ole Opossum Breath will be appearing at Clear Lake, Iowa.
Edited on Mon May-03-10 10:36 PM by lib2DaBone
..wasn't the Surf Ballroom in "Clear Lake, Iowa" where The Big Bopper, Buddy Holly and Richie Havens appeared?

Does Ted know that history can repeat itself?

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

February 3, 1959, a small-plane crash near Clear Lake, Iowa killed three American rock and roll musicians: Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens, and J. P. "The Big Bopper" Richardson, as well as the pilot, Roger Peterson.<1> The day was later called The Day the Music Died by Don McLean, in his song "American Pie".<2><3>

The Surf Ballroom in Clear Lake, Iowa was never intended to be a stop on the tour, but promoters, hoping to fill an open date, called Carroll Anderson, who was the manager of the Surf Ballroom, and offered him the show. He accepted and the date of the show was set for Monday, February 2.

(Waylon Jenniongs was also supposed to be on that plane, but it was full.. so Waylon decided to take the bus with the rest of the band.)

The tour is called "Trample The Weak, Hurdle The Dead Tour 2010"

4. It's like a really bad version of Spinal Tap...
...only even more dumb. All the stupidity and none of the heart. An old geezer teabagging rock star who doesn't have the good sense to just go away.

The actual movie was quite hilarious though (Spinal Tap I mean):

- Nigel "the numbers all go to eleven. Look, right across the board, eleven, eleven, eleven and...."

- Marty "Why don't you just make ten louder and make ten be the top number and make that a little louder? "

- Nigel (long pause) "But these go to eleven"

Like the stipulations he was given before he was allowed to come to the "Grande' Ballroom" after parties?

19. Wellll.........
He was told he Had to bring a case of Boon's Farm Apple wine and he was NOT allowed to pick on people who might be tripping on LSD.
He would drunkenly hassle some poor smiling stoner with his opinions on drugs, with his gross booze breath.

It was said that weed and psychedelics made him paranoid.
He was freaked by the "perma-grin" effect of Acid and he would tell trippers they were stupid to be smiling.
Most people just laughed at him, but some people had to be protected from him.

11. Some people will do anything for a free seafood dinner
I had no idea Ted Nugent had fallen on such hard times. You would figure there was a soup kitchen somewhere that would cater to his ilk. I guess singing for peanuts was just a little beneath him. So they through in the free dinner. Uck.

re: how he loves the music but hates Ted's braindead politics

That's about how I feel. He's a moron, but provides lowbrow thrills that I admit I enjoy.

"Fuck Nugent- Like anybody gives a fuck
You like to hunt a lot- So fuckin' what?"

He's such a freakin' has-been, a boycott would only give him publicity. Let the no-talent keep playing for an audience of 12, half of whom are employees.

25. That's not too far off
About 2/3 of his gigs are either casinos or state/county fairs. Clicking some of the venue links revealed that he's also playing a couple of theme parks. It gets more Spinal Tappy all the time- although I'm sure he's got a bigger dressing room than the puppets....

27. There's nothing like a rightwing draft dodger.
During the Vietnam War, Ted Nugent did all he could to avoid service, getting a student deferment while touring 300 days a year. In the weeks leading up to his pre-induction physical, he failed to shower or use a toilet before relieving himself in the pants he wore to his appointment in order to generate a 4-F classification.
