DU Thread

For decades, we heard and saw Repubers bitching and moaning about too much government. We heard them say that government was too big.

Apparently, what they really meant was the Congress of the United States was too big. Especially a Democratic Congress. The Democratic Congress of the United States--comprised of representatives elected by the people--was too influential in shaping American lives. This lead me to believe that they meant the government--too big; too much; too influential. In essence; too representative of what the people wanted.

Now it appears Repubers really wanted a dictator. Especially a Republican one. Apparently, a self-proclaimed dictator is okie-dokie with Repubers. Why have a legislative body comprised of hundreds of elected representatives when you can have just one dictator selected by 5 people who owe their very existence to the party of the dictator?

So, Repuber logic: hundreds of representatives--too much. One dictator--just right.

I finally figured it out...I only hope it's not too late...

...point taken. Thanks!

As the old sage once said, "what a revolting situation" that would have been!

I'm glad my threads are relatively unpopular...

6. The Federalist Society
The Federal being the Executive. The STATES being represented in the Senate & House. They want the President to dictate how to spend money to further commerce, Congress to rubberstamp, and everything else to be turned back to the local level.
