Lord Jesus Christ hit by car while walking in crosswalk

NORTHAMPTON - A Belchertown man was transported to the hospital Tuesday afternoon after being hit by a motor vehicle while walking in a downtown crosswalk.

The accident occurred at around 3:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Main Street crosswalk near Strong Avenue and the railroad overpass.

Police said Lord Jesus Christ, 50, 41 Everett St., Apt. C28, Belchertown, was in the crosswalk when he was struck by a 2005 Chevrolet Monte Carlo driven by Brittany E. Cantarella, 20, of Pittsfield. Cantarella hit Christ as she was making a left turn onto Main Street from Strong Avenue, the report states.

Christ was transported to Cooley Dickinson Hospital where he was treated and released, according to a hospital spokeswoman. Cantarella was cited by police for a crosswalk violation, police said.

7th through 9th grade, with whom I corresponded for over 35 years after moving away, was struck and killed by an asshole running a red light as she crossed a street near her home in Las Vegas a few years ago.

I guess God doesn't watch over ALL his children.
