Here's the ultimate irony about the Preacher and the Rent Boy-
Homophobes point to St. Paul to claim the Bible condemns gay sex. Other scholars look at the Greek words and say what St.Paul condemned was sex between unequals; say a master and slave or an old powerful man and a young powerless man.

To be blunt- St. Paul didn't give a damn about gay sex; he condemned those who used their power to exploit others sexually - like maybe a rich and famous preacher and a young man with no money....

Not homosexuality per se.

Though I would not be surprised if the anti-homosexual views of the Middle-Eastern faiths stems from a revulsion against this Greek practice.
