3. Exactly
Republicans have to support their nominee because if they don't it sets a precedent that it's acceptable to leave the party and run as an independent. But just like Lieberdouche had a lot of sympathizers in the Democratic Party, Crist probably has a lot of sympathizers in the GOP. If he wins they will welcome him back with open arms and be able to say that they were loyal to the party and supported Rubio but the voters have spoken and the best thing to do is to welcome Crist back.

5. Sounds like a "Teresa LePore" moment
For those who don't remember, Teresa LePore was the Supervisor of Elections of Palm Beach County, Florida in 2000, ostensibly a "Republican turned Democrat" whose main claim to fame (or infamy) was the confusing "butterfly ballot" she approved that in all likelihood took a huge number of votes away from Al Gore,

but his decision will probably based on what will help him politically rather than personal feelings.

hopefully Meek will be able to pull off a win and it wont be an issue.

8. democrat votes
democrat votes will get him elected. if the margin is large he will have to vote with the Dem's. he is already picking up votes from Meeks.

6. He said he would caucus with whomever were able to address the concerns...
Of his constituents that put him there - that sounds right to me, republicans need to start listening to Crist

7. I don't think so.
Maybe he'll follow Liberman's example. He lost as a Democrat, ran as an Independent then to punish Democrats he votes with the republicans most of the time. Maybe Crist will do the same. I know I would. I would think that since the republicans wanted a POS, and didn't think I was good enough for them I would vote for the center and with the Democrats who are trying to get this country back on tract.
