I will not be providing my unconditional, immediate and full throated support at this time. But nor will I come out and oppose her either...at this time.

But she can earn my support based on what I see and hear in the confirmation hearings.

1. Since you're not a Senator (I assume), what difference will it make
whether you support her or not?

8. Now, now, we all like to revel in our self-importance now and then
;) But, no, I doubt that Ms. Kagen is waiting with baited breath to hear any of our judgments of her.

2. The Sales Job Ahead...
...and that's what these nomination proceeding are. I'm with you...I trust this administration as I felt the Sotomayor selection was an excellent one. For those who continue to claim this is a "liberal" seat fail to remember who nominated Stevens...Gerald Ford. He was viewed as a "centrist" when selected and changed over time. Ironically some of the better "liberals" on the court have been selected by Rushbpulicans (Warren, Stevens, Souter) so you can't always take their writing and rulings at face value...the measure is how they appear during this process. I'm not looking at someone whose "liberal" as much as someone who will give a fair and honest judgement on the issue...based in fact and objective thought. I firmly believe if that's the case, the rulings will be more "liberal" than not.

3. The president nominated her therefore
you should be supporting her. We all should be supporting President Obama now. (Yes, I'm as serious as a heart attack.))

4. Well, if you say so...
:wtf: is going on here today?

I gave Obama my time, money, and vote in 2008. He needs to earn anything else he gets from me.

9. You are 100% correct on that one
And I support him 100%. I may or may not agree with his choice, but I won't even think about tearing Obama down in public like a lot of the assholes here.

6. Now there you go being all reasonable. How can you consider being open minded
and being fair enough to listen to what the woman has to say? That's just not how it's done on the internets.

7. It's sad that he chooses to nominate someone we would have to reserve judgment on.
How about someone with an unambiguous record as a liberal for a change? Throw me a frickin bone here.
