Funny thing just happened. I listened to the President and Leahy promote Kagan's nomination. If we changed the names of those involved the rhetoric would be the same. I've become so jaded that I either don't believe or question just about anything that comes from the mouths of the powers that be. Having seen polls, financial statements, studies, et. al. manipulated to push agenda that I am supposing that manipulation can be applied to us to adjust our attitudes about people such as Kagan (maybe she's an excellent candidate). I would robustly support Jonathan Turley...someone like that as a candidate. Someone who can discuss judicial matters in layman's language. However, he'd probably have too much of a paper trail considering his public exposure on teevee. imho

He may be a leftist libertarian but at the end of the day, libertarians are not friends of liberals. Kagan may not be the pick you wanted but Turley?

as with his ability to explain his viewpoints. Frankly, I haven't agreed 100% of the time with any SC judge. I think Kagan is a compromise candidate....sorry, as I said, I'm jaded. If I REALLY had my way, I'd like to see a candidate completely outside of the law 'business' or big corporations.
