3. What's the argument here?
If it's good enough for Tricky Dick, it's good enough for us?

Rehnquist was a tyrant who held onto office until his dying breath, long after he was incapable of performing the duties of the post. He is not an example to follow.

I thought we were supposed to be better than that.

5. the argument is that being a judge is not a benchmark for supreme court justices

not whether rhenquist was a shitty justice

the right is 'concerned' because she hasn't sat on a bench as a judge.

4. almost half of the SCOTUS judges had no judicial experience
Yet that has not stopped conservatives I know from bombing facebook with "concern" about this. Why is it that something I Googled in 2 seconds is impossible for these people to even consider finding?

6. Conservatives don't want to get their brains all immersed in FACTS
That's too much to ask for them to "trouble their beautiful minds" about, as Barbara Bush would say.

12. Rhenquist had an infamy all his own.
In Arizona he was known as "Our Bill", a nutcase rightwinger who made himself famous by his "constitutional tests" at voting booths in that state. Apparently he determined it was his mission to demand a voting test before citizens (usually brown ones) could cast a vote. Bill obviously didn't consider that he was committing a felony by interfering with a right like this, and when the cops finally showed up to remove him from the premises he tried to start a fist fight with them.

Yeah...THIS is the guy who was our chief justice for a time. Damn scary.
