British Find No Evidence Of Arms Traffic From Iran
ON THE IRAQ-IRAN BORDER -- Since late August, British commandos in the deserts of far southeastern Iraq have been testing one of the most serious charges leveled by the United States against Iran: that Iran is secretly supplying weapons, parts, funding and training for attacks on U.S.-led forces in Iraq.

A few hundred British troops living out of nothing more than their cut-down Land Rovers and light armored vehicles have taken to the desert in the start of what British officers said would be months of patrols aimed at finding the illicit weapons trafficking from Iran, or any sign of it.

There's just one thing.

"I suspect there's nothing out there," the commander, Lt. Col. David Labouchere, said last month, speaking at an overnight camp near the border. "And I intend to prove it."

This is an old article but I think it's important to post again.

5. Yup. AGAIN.
And the American media will suck up, aid and abet them. And the 90% still eternally stupid but eternally loud (and louder) neocon war profiteers and their bootlicking followers will help raise the increasing volume as well.

K&R.

9. They won't even try to lie to us this time.
This time it will be chest-thumping, fearmongering, and jingoism at its loudest volume since the Iraq build-up. Get ready to hear more about the crazy people in Iran, and all that the crazy t hings that fundamentalism Muslims believe in. Add in snippets of Ahmadinejad interviews, play up his power, never mind he is losing power in Iran. This is about to get ridiculous. Congress needs to step in NOW.

At least we can try and get the word out.

I think the best quote from this article is:

"It's a question of intelligence versus evidence," Labouchere's commander, Brig. James Everard of Britain's 20th Armored Brigade, said last month at his base in the southern region's capital, Basra. "One hears word of mouth, but one has to see it with one's own eyes. These are serious consequences, aren't they?"

influencing Iraq and of course they want the US out so they can have their way.

They created and still arm Hezbollah. They are most likely arming Hamas with more than cash which is documented. I'd be surprised if they weren't arming some Shiites just as SA is supplying the sunnis.

Besides guys driving around in the desert aren't necessarily going to run into semi's with "Iranian Weapons" signs on the side. Lots of questions.

I believe they are funneling arms and drugs through the Kurds.
