RE: MSNBC's joining with WSJ to poll and use of its polling.
I've been watching results of a poll on incumbency and projected winners for various seats up for grabs around the nation which was conducted jointly by these two entities. Of course, the data they present indicates that the Rs will become masters of the universe in November. Frankly, to me, the WSJ is just another Murdoch rag and anything its involved in reflects that bias and the bias of Wall Street. Is there any good polling organization on this midterm election which is considered reliable?

4. Here's the pdf of the poll. Who in their right mind sits through a poll this long?

5. Go to a working class bar in your town

Pick a mixture of places understanding the demographics of voting behavior in the area. Start a few conversations, see what people think. Rinse and repeat and you will see where we are heading in November.

Plus you get to a bar.

It is how I knew the locals were getting slaughtered in 2009 despite their happy talk and feelings that people loved them in the area.

6. Aggregate Polling...
NBC's been using WSJ scam polls for years...and as with all polls, they're to be taken in light of whose conducting them, when the poll is conducted and who they're sampling. Many pollsters claim to be "independent" but they're doing these polls for clients who are looking for certain results.

I prefer to check sites that have several polls and either are shown side-by-side or their results averaged. 538 is the best for this information as well as excellent anaylsis.

7. Thought I heard Matthews towing the Murdoch line today parroting RW gains from the poll...
A focused grouped read of MSNBC mid last year, keyed on: programming, anchor personalities, bias, format, etc, pointed to problems MSNBC is experiencing in reaching more market share. It would seem MSNBC has paid little attention to the opinions of a diverse America in favor of a working relationship with Murdoch's WSJ - we do know Murdoch will say anything, do anything to increase his market share

8. As Keith Olbermann said the other night, Murdoch's companies exist

for one reason: to get Republicans elected.

Everything they do goes toward that cause. Anything affiliated with Murdoch is suspect. MSNBC could have done a lot better, their progressive viewers won't like this affiliation and its questionable polls.
