Rush Limbaugh Will Take $1 Million Less to Leave New York Forever

Talk radio blowhard Rush Limbaugh listed his huge Upper East Side penthouse for $13.95 million after announcing that he's quitting New York because of high taxes. But before we can kick him in the rump on his way out the door, he has to sell the place. That's apparently proven difficult. Why? Well, even though the 4,661-square-foot spread at 1049 Fifth Avenue is a serious piece of floorplan porn with Central Park views and no pesky co-op board, the apartment looks like it was inspired by a senile grandmother's Florida fever dream. And so, the asking price has been knocked down an even $1 million to $12.95 million. A minor 7% trim, but the perfect excuse to run that photo gallery again!

1. I am still waiting for that whale to keep his promise and leave the country
He said he would leave if Health Care Reform passed and the fatso is still here.

3. Who would want to live there?
Even if I could stay there free I wouldn't set foot in that evil place. It has to be filled with so many evil demons unleashed by Limblah. No amount of cleansing would ever remove the toxic remnants from Limblah.

4. You'd have to spend at least $1million to unload the tackiness of that house
I thought he hated the French so what's with his Palace of Versailles Condo in NYC?

6. Whoever ends up with it will have to strip it down to the studs
Edited on Thu May-13-10 01:50 PM by Warpy
to get the cigar stench out. Everything fabric will end up in landfills and all the furniture will need reupholstering. Given NYC prices, it will be at least a million dollar renovation project.

Although I love looking at those pictures imagining Limbag in a silk bathrobe, cigar butt in his kisser, wandering around admiring all that "ellegance," (yes, two Ls) I imagine he only flew in, used the place to throw cocktail parties and schmooze suckers, and flew back to Florida.

Well, at least his interior desecrator realized he had a midwest new money hick with no taste on his hands and managed to unload all his leftover 80s tchotchkes.

26. The Buffoon said he was leaving NYC because of taxes. He doesn't want to contribute to the USA...
What a tax dodging, greedy bastard Limblah is. He said during one of his freak radio shows he was leaving NYC because taxes were getting too high. I remember Jon Stewart saying good riddance. Even though he's worth several hundred million he is so filled with greed he doesn't want to help pay for all the government services that allow him to live they lavish way he does. What is wrong with most rich people? They are usually the most selfish people on the planet.
