1. Keep fighting for Joe.
I think he's going to take this primary on Tuesday.

And thank you.

5. I didn';'t even get into arguing the issues. I said Arlan is 80 yo.
He has had 2 bouts with cancer in the recent years. Why would you wnat to vote for someone who most likely won't be able to complete his 6 year term? I find it easier to eliminate the politics & argue the rationality of your vote.

6. Would they choose an 80 year old pilot? dentist? Surgeon? CPA?
As I've posted before, with Specter's age & health issues, it's his GOP born and raised senior staff doing the lion's share of the policy and decision making. You know - the lifelong Republicans Arlen brought with him in his most recent party switch, and who know that even if Arlen were elected, it would be his last term and it could end "prematurely" to put it delicately, from day one of the new term. So of course they'll be scrambling to secure future jobs with other GOP offices or as lobbyists for the "Big" interests.

Arlen could have ended his career with grace by retiring. But in the tradition of his Magic Bullet theory and his attacks on Anita Hill, he put his own insatiable need for power ahead of common sense and decency.
