I had to smack down a Tea Partier...well, rhetorically...

Normally, I don't get this harsh...but I've seriously had enough of these people and I kind of got on a roll:

I said:

Conservatives; still suffering under the idea that ideological purity is your way out of the desert. You're trying to *attract* new voters, right? Not repel people...right?

They said:

Orthodoxy always attracts people....not the wishy washy lack of backbone compromising liberal luzers

Then, I said:

The rigid inflexibility of dogmatic 'thinking' is the Conservative's most pronounced weakness, coupled with the fact that the ideology had nothing to do with governing actions....that dynamic is one reason you lost by eight million votes.

So, when you call Progressives 'wishy washy losers', let's all take a moment to remember that we just solidly kicked your asses all over the street. How'd it feel?

What tea-party subscribers are....is Republicans that got totally burned by their own politicians, nothing more.

Your problem is that, while you have 'orthodoxy', what you don't have is a whit of credibility left.

For instance...keep telling everyone how 'fiscally conservative' you are.

We'll line that up against the high probability that you voted for W twice, and didn't ever make a peep about his 11.5 Trillion dollar deficit.

Not a peep.

He got us in to a two front war on borrowed money, deficit financed a tax cut mostly for the rich, passed Medicare Part D without paying for it, and not a peep from the sheep.

He drove for TARP and signed it in to Law, at $700 Billion, every GOP member of Congress voted for it, and still....not a peep.

Until....we elected a Black guy (gasp!) with a (gasp!) Muslim name.

Then you went ape-shit.

The capacity 'Conservatives' have for self-delusion is really just staggering.

Orwell was right about 'doublethink'. Conservatives can preach 'fiscal responsibility' after having bankrupted the Nation, and yet really truly not see why people think they're totally full of shit.

Running on repealing Health Care, are we? NEWSFLASH: You currently have 41 votes in the Senate, you'd need 67 to override a veto, and there's no way on God's green Earth you're picking up that many seats in November. That's some *serious* self-delusion.

Enjoy your outrage. Wallow in that Orthodoxy.

Good luck running for office with the same tired rhetoric, with the same fake outrage, with the same bullshit piety and the same faux fair-weather patriotism.

It's all you have left.

Oh, and....please run Palin! Pleeeeeeeeze! Do it!

We WANT you to.

1. We elected a Black guy with a Muslim name.
And that, my friend, is the birther of the Tea Party. Everything else is just packing straw.

4. NO Doubt
when the ignorant racists stay home, "tea parties" numbers stay under 10 per gathering.

2. Can we all copy and paste in reply to any/all goofball bagger emails we may get?
This is a great resource for the tongue tied!

People: keep this handy. Practice it. Time to stop letting the baggers get away with their delusional rants. Back 'em down. dave123williams has a great method!

6. Rigid Orthodoxy .........
appears when a belief system or institution is dying, according to author Philip Slater:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1845193113/ref=s9_simh_gw_p14_i1?pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_s=center-2&pf_rd_r=080FJVHQBXCJ0QHVD2TR&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=470938631&pf_rd_i=507846

Attempts to purify and eliminate all contradictions creates rigidity, which hastens the death of a belief system by making it unlivable in the real world. Contradictions and complexity are signs of health.

Great book.
