Approximately 1B barrels of oil in the oil field. I think that's a very low estimate. It flows at a rate of 50K barrels per day. (Who knows?) All I can say is GAH! 20000 days or approximately 50 years.

Rather, they asked an expert to do so -- and came up with about 70k barrels a day -- an Exxon Valdez every four days.

I am using a very low estimate of the amount in the oil field, and the highest estimate so far for the flow. You want precision? Get a Ouija Board. I'm going for a general idea.
