WHAT THE FUCK? Bristol Palin to get $15,000-$30,000 an appearance, just because she is a teenage mom
This just aggravates me to no end, to no fucking end! How many teenage mothers get $15,000-$30,000 speaking fees. I don't know why but this is just FUCKING OUTRAGEOUS!

Bristol Palin to hit speakers' circuit

JUNEAU, Alaska - Bristol Palin is hitting the speakers' circuit, commanding between $15,000 and $30,000 for each appearance.

Palin family attorney Thomas Van Flein has confirmed a Monday report by celebrity news website RadarOnline that the daughter of former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin has signed on with Single Source Speakers.

Van Flein verified Bristol Palin's fee range but said the ultimate cost will depend on factors such as which group she's addressing and what she must to do prepare.

Bristol Palin was thrust into the spotlight as a pregnant teen during her mother's unsuccessful campaign for vice president in 2008. She had son Tripp that year and has since spoken about the challenges of life as a young single mom.

2. Where is she speaking & who are the nutballs willing to spend
high ticket prices to hear her? I can't fault Bristol. If I could garner that much $$ to speak somewhere I'd do it too. I fault the idiots who pay to hear her!

I imagine. As my granddaddy once said, "a fool and his money are soon parted".

3. "What she must do to prepare"
I'd like to see a list of the possibilities here.

1. Memorize three new Bible quotes that show sex is bad.
2. Tanning appointment.
3. Hair appointment.
4. Mani/pedi.
5. Masturbate (you can't talk about abstinence convincingly until you "unload the gun", so to speak).
6. Drink two bottles of water from flexible straws.

4. No, it is because she is a CELEBRITY teen mom.
People have seen her face on TV. That makes her opinion worth hearing, of course.

Or you could look at it as an elaborate kickback scheme.

5. No, it's because her last name is Palin.
Really, no other reason.

I suppose it means that her baby will be taken care of--I hope that one day he grows up and realizes what trailer trash his family is.

10. You were close with your last sentence
I think the family is just plain trash or outhouse trash

Trailer trash would be demeaning to people that live in trailer parks.

"I am here today to tell you girls that you too can have religion and sex at the same time. Just spread your legs and let the boys have at you. By doing this you too can be rich and famous like me." Her mommy must be so proud of her

It just goes to show you that the right will buy anything if they are fed enough crap.

... so to speak, and following in her mother's footsteps. :eyes:

Doesn't it just make you sick? I heard about it a week or 10 days ago. I'm still shaking my head. What a wonderful example she sets for young women. Get yourself knocked up, kick the baby's daddy to the curb once he's served his purpose (and fleece him for $1700 a month in child support), become a born-again virgin and rake in the cash. A WONDERFUL example for young American girls to emulate.

Oh, my god.

9. The difficult part of this for me is the faulty thinking behind this
I am guessing she is to preach about abstinence to other teens?

Here's the problem part of that deal. Years ago, when I was the person at our school coordinating anti-drug and anti-alcohol education for teens, we had SCORES of folks who'd come in and share their "I hit bottom, found a way out, and now I'm fine" stories. Not that those stories were bad or not inspirational, but here is where the research on that approach finally went: Teens see these folks who experimented or really got hooked (or in Bristol's case, got pregnant), out on speaking tours, looking confident, getting a lot of attention for being able to 'survive' their drug/alcohol/sex addiction. And you know what teens think after seeing these inspirational talks? "Well look! He/She did it and they turned out OK!!!"

It does not work.

But I am sure that is not the point in the Palin family.

It's all about the Benjamins.

Poor kids.

pouring out lines in a crackhouse and preaching at the crackheads to just breath air...I think maybe EDUCATION might just work? Yoooooobetcha! How much you want to bet Bachman is the next one to hit the "circuit"?

Some nutbag proclaimed Sarah Palin a modern day "Esther" and the rest of the wackos followed on.

This is to prop up Sarah by insuring her daughter has the money to raise Trip.

30. Right wingers make fun of the Kennedys, have the Palins ever heard of community service?
They're out there sucking up money, getting their hair done etc.
Except for the boy who's in the service (don't know if he had to go)
these self-centered people only do what benefits them.

Instead of making vindictive speeches, why isn't Palin out raising money or working with Down Syndrome charities. Well hell, she doesn't even seem to spend time with her new baby who has Down's syndrome.

Why doesn't Bristol use her name to raise money for organizations for single moms? It's just like a hypocrite/conservative to preach abstinence but not help the single mothers already in need.

It seems a lot of people think Bristol shouldn't be discussed. Well I do. She's had her mug out there on mags, on TV and wants to make the big money just like the Big Grifter.

Bristol's new mantra when asked anything about Levi is, "I'm a single mom". Huh. You're not on a witness stand, Bristol. Or is it that you're already practicing being a victim just like mom.

What a SHALLOW messed up family.
