You don't get to say it once. You don't get to say it EVER.
I've said here often I am a Vietnam ERA veteran who served in COLORADO in the condo army.I've said it in bars and to EVERY vet I've ever met.
I have respect for every veteran. There are tiers of respect and I am near the bottom. Above me are non-combat vets that served in-country in Vietnam.
Above that are non-combat veterans occasionally exposed to hostile fire.
And Gods to me are the Rock and Rollers who walked into "Indian country" with an M-16 and a prayer.
Richard Blumenthal had multiple articles written about him in the largest newspapers in Connecticut identifying him as serving in Vietnam.Saying he didn't read the articles is a lie and failing to correct them was a fatal error of omission.
A family member is a Vietnam combat vet from Connecticut and I would rather piss on his leg than support or make excuses for Blumenthal.
