Rand Paul (R-Teabagger) Refused to Take Concession Call from Trey Grayson (R)
Edited on Wed May-19-10 07:16 AM by Ian David
After winning Kentucky's Republican Senate primary last night, Rand Paul (R) refused to take the call of congratulations from opponent Trey Grayson (R), according to Grayson's campaign manager, WCPO-TV reports.

Interestingly, a GOP "unity rally" is scheduled for Saturday which both men are supposed to attend.

6. The whole Rand Paul "revolution" story line being run by MSM is amusing.
Isn't the real story that each of the Democrats in their primary got more votes than Rand Paul?

11. Way To Stay Classy...
This could get interesting. Paul is gonna turn into McChinless' worst nightmare. It was hillarious to see how quickly Mitchie tried to jump on the bandwagon but looks like Paulbot Jr. isn't gonna play nice. He probably thinks that his margin was so big he doesn't need the "establishement" party...but those people could work to screw him in the end by either staying home or voting for Conway. Here's hoping for lots of bad blood.

To his credit, Specter congratulated Sestak and said he will endorse and work for him...and I suspect the rest of the Democratic establishment will as well. I don't see the same thing in places like Arizona, Nevada, California and Florida. The teabaggers will be the GOOP's undoing.

Edited on Wed May-19-10 07:32 AM by lunatica
What exactly does he mean by 'Make no mistake about it. I'm here to take back our government'?

It's as if people simply don't understand the power of their vote. If you want to see what it's like to have small government with no social nets just look at the poorest countries in the world. Look at Haiti. Is that really what they want? I doubt it.

edited to add the last paragraph

14. Everything in that speech could have been shouted by morons on talk radio
The more he goes around and tries to convince independents he's not crazy by saying that shit, the worse he will look.

13. He's alienating a lot of the state GOP establishment, and that's not good
Ask George McGovern what happens when the establishment abandons you to the wolves. They might not oppose Paul outright, but their support might be tepid, and that will hurt in the end.

21. Why, that Rand Paul is so teabaggy that he doesn't even observe political
protocols and basic courtesies.

He must eschew even common good manners to more deeply establish his credibility as a messianic hyperlibertarian.

I'll be donating what I can to Jack Conway.
