Bush Is Lucky the Queen's a Lady ---pix--->>>
I would've socked him for that remark. It only took him five minutes to insult her. Look at the monkey BLUSH.

10. I am heartily sick of her already and wish she would go away
Edited on Mon May-07-07 02:42 PM by nam78_two
She may be nice or whatever-I don't know-have not really followed her stuff-but I still find all the "royals" annoying.
I wish she would go away and take Bush with her.

I think it must be because the average age of DUers is about 60 that so many still have a reverential attitude toward her ? I don't personally know anyone from my generation who gives two straws about these people, but I know my aunts etc. still talk about the "grace and dignity of her majesty" blah blah.
Makes me mildly nauseous.

See Lewis Lapham's classic:

6. funny memory of one of the Queen's earlier visits . . .
I think it was during the Nixon administration, but I'm not at all sure of that . . . anyhow, one of the premier events of her visit to Washington was a formal ball, part of which was televised live . . . as the Queen entered the ballroom, the band struck up a number that, I'm sure, left someone without a job the next day . . .

the song they played to welcome Her Majesty was "The Lady is a Tramp" . . . true story . . . :)
