Why haven't there been news reports about the status of Iraqi oilfields?
Number of attacks, pipeline fires, operational status, infrastructure needs, etc, etc...

Why does the major media act as if there isn't any oil in Iraq? All the reporting centers on issues such as "security" or "sectarian violence" but anything about the elephant in the room is untouchable...

2. Because they've been turned off, locked down and quietly divided among the "principals"
The first goal of controlling the Iraqi oil fields was to shut them down. The biggest danger Saddam posed was to the Texas-American Petroleum Cartel/Mafia and its accomplices the Saudi Royal Family and their puppet OPEC. That goal has been accomplished. Very discretely and quietly, key portions of the Iraqi petroleum infrastructure are being repaired, refurbished AND HARDENED. World petroleum cartels have already divied up the spoils. The keystone that cements everything into place will be the puppet parliament passing the law(s) that cede Iraq's petroleum reserves to foreign petroleum companies for 30 years. Chief among these, are the Texas-American Petroleum Mafia, also known as exxon-mobile, the richest corporation on the planet.
