Ah, it's that time of the year for Wal-Mart to block off the public streets & cause me to drive 3
miles out of my way to get to work!

Walmart Will Hold Annual Shareholders' Meeting June 4

BENTONVILLE, Ark., March 5 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. (NYSE: WMT) today announced that the company's 2010 annual Shareholders' meeting will be held on Friday, June 4, 2010 at 7:00 a.m. CDT, in the Bud Walton Arena at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, Ark. 1. Oh, your screen name says it all....
poor thing; my condolences are with you. Hopefully you will have a nice cool cocktail waiting for you when you get off work. And I sincerely hope that Wal-mart will have reopened the roads by then.

I wonder if how many of those public streets that Wal-mart is having closed was one of those corporate subsidies that Wal-mart is so famous for receiving?

3. The thing is Wal-Mart Home Office is in Bentonville, about 20 miles from here. They have the meeting
here because in the days before they bring in thousands of 'associates' and thousands of 'suppliers'. They take over almost all of the parking lots on campus and the basketball arena.

2. A friend got kicked off a plane a couple years ago
because WalMart had called all of their managers to an emergency meeting. She had bought a cheap ticket and when she got to the gate she was told she had to wait for the next plane. It was also filled by WalMart. She ended up flying out 24 hours after her original flight.

4. Perhaps a cost cutting caterer could give them all food poisoning.
