The rethugs are always wrong almost immediately, but....

Over and over, their policies lead to disaster.
Bush declared preemptive wart a policy, and was horribly wrong the first time out.
The said lowering the top marginal tax rates would not cause deficits, and grew the largest deficit in history.
The wanted to shrink Government and we got the Katrina response.
The said unregulating banks would lead to economic growth, and in no time it lead to the biggest crisis since the Great Depression.
The said Drill Baby Drill, and the Gulf shows us where that gets us.
The are wrong so often and so soon, and yet they are not really called on it.
Not by the Media and not really by the Dems.
Why is there no accountability in this Country?

1. And now they are blocking all efforts to hold big oil to pay
for more toward the clean up with a spill. Republicans want the US taxpayer to pick up the tab. And the media has not said one word about it.

7. Because corporations do benefit and they own the media
See you're seeing it all wrong. Bush was successful in his goals. We were never part of the groups that were to benefit, because they want it all.

9. They are called on it
from time to time. The best parts of the 2008 convention were when the Dems went over and highlighted the Republican philosophy in action not working. When not running for re-election Dems tend not to focus on this because they tend to be more interested in governance than running a 365/24/7 election strategy. About the only thing Republicans do since 2000 is run for re-election constantly. I think RW media/election machine has proven to be very good at partially deflecting blame, but absolutely horrible at actually running the American government. In the day and age of internet and partisan media, it's not that hard to find media that does point out Republican fail even if the MSM doesn't. The question is after total fail by Republican president after Republican president why do Americans still vote for that party ever?

10. Agreed
I'm not asking why NO ONE points out how badly their policies fail (we do it here every day).
I'm asking why the MSM AND the American people by and large let them off the hook and even continue to embrace their BS.
