Yes foreigners must register with the Federal Governemnt

in Mexico...

When I was a GREEN CARD holder in the US so did I... and I had to report to the Feds every time I moved... so that is a fail on multiple levels.

And yes there are abuses in Mexico against migrants, so are there in the US.

As to how you solve this in the States? Apart of reforms, amnesty what have you... FOLLOW THE FUCKING LAW and fine the employers for hiring this cheap labor...

Oy... there are days.

and punish the ones who are breaking the law. I understand that they come here because they can find jobs, but that doesn't make it right to do so.

while we enforce ICE raids, how many of those raids have resulted in fines?

If the raids came with the fines that in theory they are supposed to dole out at the COMPANIES... and it was full force, all this would stop pretty fast since these companies would soon realize it is more expensive to hire these people. The situation we have right now, even with increased raids, is that many of these companies run adds in Mexico for good jobs in El Norte... That only tells me there is plenty of wink, wink, nod, nod, know what I mean?

3. My take has always been is that many "protesting"

Illegal immigration turn right around and hire a day laborer to build their deck, or patio, or garage, or do their yard, or WTF-ever.
