Who was it that pressed the DeepHorizon crew to push further/faster?
What happened in the 24 hours before the Deep Horizon platform exploded?

1. The BP representative who was in charge of the project.
I'll get a link to you later if no one has done that between now and then.

13. I think my understanding was too simplistic. I found some details that puts blame on MMS
http://www.nola.com/news/gulf-oil-spill/index.ssf/2010/05/minerals_management_service_ov.html

specifically, Frank Patton of MMS. Of course, if no one was cross-checking what he was doing, it isnt completely his fault.

3. Do you think they checked the batteries on the new wells?
The story is that a BP 'Company Man' came in and told all the guys that they had done a fine job, it was time to shut down. But instead of shutting down with drilling mud he said they would be using sea water as it was cheaper and faster. There was disagreement among the engineers and staff but they BP Company Man laid down the law.

That said, do you think they checked the batteries on these new 'relief' wells being drilled? I mean, its kinda funny that the ONLY time a deep undersea well blew up we just happened to have dead batteries in the Blowout preventer. What a coincidence huh? LOL!

How many more BOPs out there have dead batteries guys? Whatcha think?

5. I'm sure he has his ass covered by the corporate machine.
Because corporations have person hood, as defined by the US Supreme Cowards, BP should be tried for homicide as an individual would.

9. No, he won't be among the 11 dead, but it would be no suprise if he
suicided himself (once he IS revealed). It's "standard opporating procedure", ya know.
