You want to know how to help the Earth recover?
Human beings should just go away for a couple hundred years...

Otherwise, We'll kill the planet DEAD!

But, seriously...

"Dominion over the Earth", my ass.

Equilibrium or Annihilation is more like it.

Say... 62 million years. Is that too much?

2. As i'm sure you've heard often enough...
We're not going to kill the planet. We'll certainly kill ourselves and take a lot of our fellow organisms with us, but plenty will survive, evolve, and do what life has always done; live.

Doesn't help us out much, but honestly, we're the only things in the universe that give a flying fuck what happens to us.

4. In Genisis 1:26, I always understood "dominion" as stewardship mandate.
Obviously, we who understand it that way are in the minority. :(

Genesis 1:26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
