...cuz you know it's gonna be easy for her now...

ANCHORAGE, Alaska - Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin has endorsed a challenger to incumbent U.S. Sen. Lisa Murkowski in the state's Republican primary in August.

Palin on Wednesday issued her support for Fairbanks lawyer Joe Miller on her Facebook page.

Palin writes, "Joe is a true Commonsense Constitutional Conservative, and we're thankful he and his family are willing to offer us a choice in Alaskan leadership."

1. Miller never stood a chance in the first place

Murkowski had it rough with Alaskan Republicans when she was given the seat by her father, but they have warmed up to her and she's a shoo-in for the GOP nomination.

A poll in April had 62% of Alaskans (including 49% of Democrats) supporting Murkowski's re-election.

9. How early?
When it was clear he was gonna win? She started out her stellar record endorsing that guy in NY and he bombed out in a district where a Repuke hasn't lost in over 100 years.

12. I guess that's early...
still, she has a lousy track record...the media is building her up to be more than she is.

16. I agree, she does have a crappy track record
But it's best to be factual. She has endorsed at least one person that then won that race. One person. Also remember she did NOT endorse Scott Brown, some people think she did.

10. The election hasn't happened yet.
The OP is misleading. They are trying to say that Miller is screwed, but it didn't come out right.

2. Think you are reading the politics wrong
This could be a kiss of death for Murkowski, look at Kentucky.

The wind in the Republican party is blowing crazy right.

20. Alaskan voters are not the rightwing crazies you think they are

They vote for whoever can give them the most bang for the buck. That's why Stevens and Young have been able to stay in office for so long with both Republican and Democrat support.
