Remember the good old days? You know, when people were pissed at Clinton for $1.35 gas?
And how we'd never see it below $1 again?

I'd love to find the people mad at Clinton and ask them how they feel today.

I'm a historian; I have looked at television and media of the last 40 years and found interesting patterns. I'm pondering the same for gasoline. Not sure why, but what the heck.

1. Someone told me that the economy and gas prices were worse during the Clinton years.

How can you argue with someone like that? I'd have to print out actual documentationa and even then they would probably deny the facts. Some people hate Clinton so much that they ignore the reality of historical facts.

4. I know Clinton wasn't who I'd call an ideal president,
but I will give credit where it is due and criticism as well. Nothing is ever one-dimensional. The economy had to have been better during the 1990s as jobs existed and weren't threatened by any contrived factors.

10. IThis person is a close friend so we try to avoid political conversations.
Surprisingly, they don't listen to talk radio or watch the talk news shows. Actually, they don't keep up with the news at all for the most part.

Oh well. I'm sure I could print out documented facts but it's not worth the trouble.

They do recycle and drive a fuel efficient car!

12. That $2.80 is in today's dollars, not in 1981 dollars.

11. I gave it to my wingnut brother in law over this
He ranted and raved when it went up to $1.35 under Clinton. But no anger at all for * now. Unbelievalble!! He only could spit up the the drivel that "were addicted to gas". Yea - and *'s cronies in big oil are the pushers raking it in.

13. Remember the good old days when .... (FINISH this sentence)
There must be about 100 ways to finish this sentence for the Cliton years.

...when all we had to worry about was the Prez's sex life. Even hard-core conservatives are saying this now!!
