Anyone else see the demonstration of dry ice used to clean up the oil

this AM on CNN? The ice freezes the oil (on beaches) in seconds and it can be cleanly picked up. The demonstrator, however, was the maker of the dry ice. The plant is in Louisiana, near where oil is washing up on the beaches.

3. I don't see the benefit of adding dry ice.

The oil sticks to the sand grains already and can easily be scooped up with a shovel. It's unnecessary. The beaches are not hard to clean up, it's the estuaries, wetlands, and covered birds that are difficult to clean.
