Democrats Avoid Primary to Challenge Bachmann

Maureen Reed (D) announced that she is dropping out of the primary race to unseat Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-MN), the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports, allowing Democrats to unify behind one candidate, Tarryl Clark (D).

"The surprise announcement changes the dynamic of the Sixth District race, which was already shaping up to be one of the most heated in the state. Though Bachmann represents a solidly conservative area, national eyes and wallets are keenly focused on the race because of the lawmaker's controversial style of politics."

2. Until and if we can redistrict her area AND
it is the most illegal gerrymander in the state she will continue to win. There are nothing but republicans there. The only thing is, if most real republicans and not the radicals and tea bags vote to get rid of her. She does absolutely nothing for her district but bring stupid criticism. She runs around the country spouting idiotic crap. She is trying to bring religion, against the constitution, into the mix, because she needs that preacher and his mega church to get all that free publicity. I agree it would be the best thing in the country for her to go. She just loves the attention and does nothing in way of her job, to serve the people of Minnesota.
