"Worst Cover Up": Former Marine Claims Illness From Experimental Vaccine

Former Marine Claims Illness From Mystery Vaccine
Military Source Believes Experimental Shots May Have Been Given

CLERMONT COUNTY, Ohio -- Target 5 has discovered that an alarming number of U.S. troops are having severe reactions to some of the vaccines they receive in preparation for going overseas. "This is the worst cover-up in the history of the military," said an unidentified military health officer who fears for his job.

A shot from a syringe is leaving some U.S. servicemen and women on the brink of death. "When the issue, I believe, of the use of the vaccine comes out, I believe it will make the Walter Reed scandal pale in comparison," said the health officer. ...

When Cindy Fey called the U.S. Marine Hospital in 29 Palms to find out what kind of vaccine her son was given, she was told that the information was confidential. Eleven months later, her son's medical records were mysteriously changed with a handwritten notation indicating that the mystery shot was a flu vaccine. The military official who spoke to Target 5 on the condition of anonymity said that it was not surprising that nothing appeared originally in Fey's records. "We have a lovely term for that," he said. "We call it C.Y.A. That's unfortunately an S.O.P. in the military."

Fey is one of a growing number of U.S. servicemen and women who are getting sick after receiving vaccines. And the highly praised Department of Defense medical officer who spoke with Target 5 said that the number is up in the thousands. The symptoms range from joint aches and pains and arthritic symptoms to death.

1. It was probably the anthrax vaccine actually
That vaccine is notorious for having bad sides. The US government has asked the one current manufacturer of the vaccine to make a new one that requires less than the 6 boosters currently given, which indicates to me that they are unhappy with the current product more so than its too many boosters. There is also a post exposure vaccine like (its not a true vaccine) product for anthrax that just did get fasttracked by the FDA. It can't be a flu vaccine, because they are only given at certain times of the year. And I am very aware of what vaccines are being developed right now and I can pretty much tell you that given the shortage of people the military has they are not gonna be testing what's being developed right now. Anthrax has caused this problem in the recent past and was re worked. Of course you can argue its best not to give milatary any vaccines so they can be free to pick up the various nasty infectious diseases and bring them back to the US as well. (see a story about the military personnel spreading Leishmaniasis)
This Anthrax vaccine has actually caused quite a few problems in the military since about the first Gulf War.

9. I had the anthrax series almost 10 years ago
No problems. From what I understand, farmers have been taking that series for a few decades.

10. yes some tolerate it just fine.
The ones who don't though tend to have pretty strong reactions. Don't get me wrong, I think this vaccine is actually necessary but all possible precautions should be taken with it. I think despite what people are saying the ones with difficulties had some underlying issue that the vaccine probably exposed (an undiagnosed autoimmune problem perhaps).

13. Well, and I think it should be voluntary
We didn't have the option. It was either take it, or get a bad conduct discharge. That was bullshit.

12. I've worked with about 5 people who have had it
as well as my brother in law when he did contract work in Saudi. Two said it was horribly painful but none had long lasting side effects. Not to say it can't cause them in some people.

I went to a conference at the end of February and there were about 15 poster presentations on new anthrax vaccines so this is being worked on quite a bit by various companies but just in the animal testing phase now.

14. No pain here
The 2nd or 3rd one left a pretty big knot for a couple of days, then someone hit me (tacking on new stripes) and it was gone. HAHAHA! That was probably seriously dangerous.

15. I'm curious
Did they at least give you info on possible side effects etc? I would hope they would do that and not just say "shut up and take this"! Even my mandatory vaccines (at work) had a decline option (although they legally could have transferred me out of the lab if I declined a vaccine, which was understood)

16. I think they only started doing that after media pressure
I remember going to the base theater where they told us why it was good and how it was not a "new" vaccine. We definitely did not have a decline option. People declining the vaccine and being court martialed was pretty big news in the mid-late 90s.

2. WORST cover-up in the HISTORY of OUR military?!?
Dude, you must talking about some SERIOUS, SERIOUS, SERIOUS shit here!

The rest of his story may be dead-on true, and if so, it sounds like yet-another mega-clusterfuck for the US military in the making. My heart goes out to anyone suffering. But as far as it being the WORST coverup by the Pentagon EVER? Sad to say, I'm pretty hard-pressed to believe that particular claim.

Did I mention this would have to be some REALLY REALLY SERIOUS shit?

4. Similar crap happened around the mid 1990's
with a vaccine (the anthrax I mentioned) and the military actually got sued by several people I believe. This story really seems like a rehash of that, serious indeed but really nothing new. They are probably being "mysterious" in order to avoid more lawsuits.

8. exactly!
If you're given the vaccine in 2 wk intervals instead of the called for 6 wks, there are residual problems no matter when.

20. It happens every day, unfortunately.
"I see the way the propaganda and information war is waged against America's sons and daughters and how patients are treated who claim to be injured from a vaccine," said the unidentified health officer. "That's troubling. That should trouble America." The officer said those who have claimed to have had adverse reactions to shots are treated like it is all in their heads.

18. Welcome Uncle Rico,
why are you hard pressed to believe this?

Fey is one of a growing number of U.S. servicemen and women who are getting sick after receiving vaccines. And the highly praised Department of Defense medical officer who spoke with Target 5 said that the number is up in the thousands. The symptoms range from joint aches and pains and arthritic symptoms to death.

Now picture a 2 month old in this situation? How does a baby articulate joint pain? What would they call an infants "sudden" death?

5. The CYA vaccine is for anyone who disagrees with the war-
The negative effects from anthrax vaccine was seen only when the normal interval protocols were rushed. This new threat is outrageous!

6. untrue with the current anthrax vaccine
I have personal knowledge of it. The US government is VERY unhappy with it. In fact because of problems with it and problems with creating a new vaccine (another company has been trying to make a new one with NO success) a huge Bioshield contract was pulled by Congress earlier this year until things can be seen to improve there.

11. There is such a thing as side effects...
These happen to a small percentage of takers with almost any medicine. Not saying it's right, but still. They shouldn't go around giving it to people until they know they've got it right. Beta testing is for crappy software, not human bodies.
