4. I have a feeling that the number of Afghanistan will eventually surpass Iraq.
By the reports we have been reading recently, I doubt by any account that the Taliban are "close to being defeated".

If they were, they would have came to the negotiating table when invited, rather than using the opportunity to launch a series of attacks.

Here is a great site which features a running tab (right side) on the cost of the Iraq and Afghanistan wars since 2001.

Maybe if people don't care about the humans, they'll care about the money that these wars are costing us.

Interesting that the tea-partiers hate it that the country spends money on health care or education, but never mention how much goes for wars.

6. A tragic waste of lives. And then there are the injured
both mentally and physically who will carry their wounds long after these wars are forgotten. And the homeless vets and the suicides. Those are not counted.

At least we count the number of soldiers who die. When it comes to the people we kill, 'we don't do body counts'.

Thanks for posting this ... not many interested I guess. We have become de-sensitized.
