2. We all know why Obama has to pretend to "look for" the right person---many are on his team.
My intelligence was insulted by that remark.

35. He showed his true colors the day that he stated that
"Paulson is working hard." Not three weeks had passed between that moment and the day that he was elected. And he was already signaling to his Corporate Owners that he was their Guy. Not ours, theirs.

Then he appointed Geithner, and Rahm, and left Bernanke in his slot. What an unholy trio that group was.

So next thing you know, over twelve trillin gets handed over, msotly to the good people on Wall Street who had brought about the collapse. they got busy playing on such endeavors as betting against Portugal, Iceland and Greece, and now that Europe needs a way to bail those countries out, our valiant Wall Street crowd, and the Bernanke/Geithenr duo is offering them the money. While more and more of our states and county governments go belly up.

But along the way, we also headed into a long summer of supposed "Health Care Reform" and much of that occurred behind closed door meetings between Rahm and the folks from Big Pharma.

All through this, I concoled msyelf that at least if some CATASTROPHE occurred, obama is a smart man. maybe devious but smart. so we woul dnot see and foot draggin, but instead any resposne woul dbe quick, and would be efficient, as Obama surely wouold use the same delegation skills he used when he was riding his mojo tot he top of the Primary pile during the summer of 2008.

Then this happens, and Obama has Thad Allen, apparently "Brownie's" older cousin "handling" the crisis.

Except the crisis is not being handled. As Rachel Maddow described the Coast Guard/BP efforts yesterday, she said, "It is as if the helicopters circling the rooftops of stranded people in New Orleans circled those roofs and then rescued the people, but then dropped them back in the water again."

And that pretty much sums it up. i have no clue why Bush/Cheney thought it a good idea to practice genoicide and allow for the many, many unnecessary deaths in N.O.

And now I have no idea why Obama wants the Gulf to be destroyed.

There it is. This is his catastrophe moment, and he has failed. The environment there gives him a resounding "F", the small businesses needing clean water and beaches give him a resounding "F" and the rest of us now see the truth of American politics - that the two parties ar just one madcap self-serving affair that insists only on the rights of corporations to control their sorry-assed mistakes, even if it takes the entire global environment apart and leaves the rain in New Mexico smelling like Oil. (Like it has been doing over the last week.)

person in this country to oversee removing the troops from Iraq and Afghanistan?

Oops.

I like Obama, but WTF? I wish "change" would come about a little more rapidly. I realize he's up against a system that is going to resist, and I wonder how much influence and power he really has to get things done. But ffs, some of his actions are "things that make you go, hmmmm...."
