Pelosi: "I know one thing for certain: This war is wrong," repubs disagree of course

"I know one thing for certain: This war is wrong," Pelosi said in an interview with USA TODAY. "I will do anything to stop it."

This statement seems to have sent certain repub cspan callers into a real snit. Calling and saying "fuck you", and just getting absolutely vaporish.

And didn't they claim that Clinton was overstating the threat when he ordered strikes against Saddam's WMDs? That he was fabricating the evidence?

Boy, those repukes will say ABSOLUTELY ANYTHING to win ... even when it directly contradicts what just came out of their mouths two seconds before ...

Among his other faults, he flips where convenient ... he led a "Million Fan March" in Cleveland when Modell announced the Browns were moving ... and only a few years ago, he was siding with Modell, because Modell was blaming unnamed "politicians" ... presumably Dem ... (conveniently forgetting that, when Modell went to "the highest office attainable in Ohio" and was told no chance, it was held by a repuke ...)

He pretty much tries to say that Steelers fans try to live in the past (haven't listened to him much lately, only when there is ABSOLUTELY NOTHING better on the radio), but will talk about the greatness of the 1964 Browns ...

15. My SIL said the same thing the other night at family dinner.

I gave her one of those "You don't know what your talking about" smiles, then just moved onto another topic. I think that ticked her off more than anything else. She kept trying to goad me on. I told her "I'm sorry you feel that way because it's just not true You don't have all the facts, but you don't listen when I try to tell you what they are."

Hubby doesn't want to put bumperstickers on our van, but now that he has a big ole dent in the rear from an encounter with an unseen mailbox, I think I'll get some choice ones just for her viewing pleasure. :evilgrin:

There is a lot more to politics than how many votes we have at the moment. Pelosi's move does not alter the numbers, but it forces others to take a stand, up or down, on this catastrophe. And there is nothing wrong with that. Very good development, I say.

You have the means to stop this war dead in its tracks.

You have the support of the majority of the American people.

The war is based on lies and cherry picked/altered information.

So, just do it. Don't talk about it, do it.

And for desert, how about two slices of impeachment? One for Bush, one for Cheney.

14. both can be taken down for impeachment

I can't remember what forum it was but this was addressed, during one of those progressive forums about a year ago, it was hosted by I think Sam Seder. Two of them can be taken down by impeachment.
