CA DU-ers please vote against the corporate propositions today
Especially the ins. one!! Anybody who seriously thinks the Ins. companies are going to spend MILLIONS on a proposition to "save customers money" is daft. NO ON 17!

3. Me too.
I've reached a point where I am very skeptical of any initiative. The whole process has helped drive up the deficit over the years in CA. Some of them would sound just terrific but then there is always the bottom line that often got overlooked.

The one initiative I will vote yes on will be in November - returning the passage of the budget to simple majority. This 2/3 majority needed just ends up being a tyranny of the minority.

8. Why not YES on prop 15?
We all need (the whole country needs) California to take a leadership role to get public campaign financing moving now and get corporate money out of politics!

2. No on 14 as well
If that passes and I fear it will w/ low turnout, it will only be wealthy, corporate financed candidates who will be able to run for office.

The only thing to counter 14 it will be if 15 passes and is eventually expanded to include ALL state offices.
