BP’s disastrous toxic goop is “cooking the birds” alive.

MSNBC’s Kerry Sanders was just reporting from a BP-goo-soaked shoreline (I came in very late), and I caught his last few remarks. He was explaining how the oil warms up and “cooks the birds”. As he was standing there, live and on camera, he told Contessa Brewer that he had to leave the area because he could feel the heat starting to penetrate his boots.

His boots. That are thicker and tougher than feathers. If his well-protected feet were being broiled after just having stood at the polluted location for a short time, imagine what the wildlife must are experiencing, think about their being smothered by poisonous slime and the feeling of being roasted alive.
