10. I expect Taitz will start filing frivolous lawsuits questioning the results
Maybe she'll demand proof of citizenship of all those who voted against her. :9

11. Two polling places instead of 40 made the difference
Edited on Wed Jun-09-10 08:10 AM by catgirl
In Little Rock, where Lincoln had strong support, their were lots of polling places. The county where
Halter was very strong, the number of polling locations went from 40 in the primaries, to just
TWO. Some people had to drive over 20 minutes ti get to their new voting locals. That leaves out
many without cars, who had to work... That meant long lines in 90 degree weather...

I'd love to know who all the players are who were behind this.

12. No way! 9000 votes? Halter was robbed by the closing of all those polling places...

13. Probably not
Halter only got about 5400 votes there in the primary

http://www.votenaturally.org/electionresults/index.php?ac:show:contest_countywide=1&elecid=211&countyid=26&contestid=3

and in the runoff he only got about 3600

http://www.votenaturally.org/electionresults/index.php?ac:show:contest_countywide=1&elecid=221&countyid=26&contestid=4

Turnout in runoffs is almost always lower than primaries. But even if he had gotten just as many in the runoff, he still would not have made up the 9000 vote statewide margin.

14. Lincoln won with a tad over 10,000 more votes. It's sad that only 230,000 Democrats got out and
voted in this run-off.
