Divide and conquer...
Watching it happen live on DU. Take you places in the circular firing squad and will the last one standing don't forget to turn of the lights to save energy.

I came in the house after being waylaid by the Kingdom Hall members from the next town over. That discourse was just as productive as what I see occurring on several forums on DU today. Discouraging to say the least and just as obtuse.

There is truth to both 1) that you can't win power with out having a broad coalition and the votes to back it, and 2) that consideration must be given to policies and issues for all groups within that coalition for it to work. Now, how about we all get the fingers off the triggers and step back and start again. I'll be damned if I wake up the day after the 2010 general staring at a Republican majority congress ushered in by an unwillingness to work together on the left.

Oh, and I'm not magically going to become a Green Party member, a Republican, or a LaRoachite (spelling intentional) or a damned worthless Teabagger. Let's get busy because none of y'all are doing anything constructive right now.

Rant off.

1. Reacting or dividing, that is the question.
I agree that for it to work, policies and issues for all groups must be considered. Too bad that is where the problems lie.

2. Democrats are like alley cats.
We may sound like we're killing each other, but we're really just making more Democrats.

3. Who cares?
Look...people are people. Stop blaming them for acting like stupid humans. Parties are supposed to be intelligent organized entities that reign in the failings of people to promote their agenda. If a party fails to appeal to the most people and rather forces them to be reactionary, they reap what they will sow

4. The politicians are merely
minions of TPTB. The multi-nationals are calling the shots, not the voters. To get angry with the WH or any other minion is a waste of energy...they're simply doing what they have been BOUGHT to do.

Aim your anger toward the Corporations and their CEOs specifically or their Board of Directors. Put a FACE on the Corporation and attack that.
