Saying California's measures 16 (PG&E's bid to make public power require 2/3 vote) and 17 (craven auto insurance measure) are passing when late last night the No votes began to overtake them and this morning's paper said they lost and in fact, as of the time he said it, the measures were behind, in one case far, far behind.

Everyone makes mistakes, but this one is a bit annoying since it's all feeding into his giant conspiracy theory meme.

The results here are nothing to be proud of, I'll grant that.

As for the open primary, which he thinks is a Republican dirty trick (or will be used as one, I'm not sure), the chances for one moderate and one liberal to be the top vote getters and be on the ballot is one advantage to this system. If teaparty Republicans want to nominate one of their own, the crazies in the State's party aren't numerous enough to get that kind of candidate into 2nd place statewide among ALL voters (or at least, it got a WHOLE lot harder). Suffice it to say, a lot of liberals voted for 14 but YMMV.

8. Saw him at Greenfest (Chicago) a few weeks ago. No beard.
He has lost some weight, however. He's gone from 'skinny' to 'almost TOO skinny'.

7. Thom's an insanely smart guy. If he made a mistake, let him know.
I've never known him to be afraid to correct himself if he either made a mistake or failed to express himself clearly.
