Part of me thinks Obama's folley in trusting oil companies will be good in thelong term
We now know, well, have again learned, that banks and large corporations can't be trusted. Now we're learning, again, the same about oil companies. It reminds me of when my province got rid of the Ombudsman office. My father said, "Sweet fucking christ, do they forget why we needed this office in the first place?"

So, maybe the oil company's greed will be their downfall and responsibility will again prevail and they will no longer have free rides. It also gives us an "I told you so" for right wing delta bravos.

1. You keep telling yourself that.
I disagree, but it's not worth arguing right now.

4. Apparently the government knew within hours that the gusher was far worse than they let on..

Trust had nothing to do with it, the government lied, just like they did about the air quality at the WTC site in the aftermath of 9/11/2001.

6. I disagree. Who in their right mind would ever trust oil companies?
It's like saying "I didn't know I couldn't trust that used car salesman"
