Official: Taliban execute boy, 7, as spy
Suspected Taliban militants publicly hanged a 7-year-old boy for spying in the militant stronghold of Helmand province, an Afghan official told the Associated Press.

The child was placed on trial by the Islamic extremist group and later found guilty of working for Afghan President Hamid Karzai's government, the local official said.

7. They ruled Afghanistan BECAUSE of the policies of the U.S.
And right now, U.S. mercenaries are paying them for 'protection' or to 'not attack us'.

According to the women of Afghanistan, the U.S. presence in their country has strengthened both the War Lords and the Taliban.

They want us out.

As for that seven year old, we have killed many, many more, babies, younger than that, blown them to bits. We just call it 'collateral damage'. But that is not allowed to be reported on. However brave journalists like Dahr Jamail and Robert Fisk have documented our heart-breaking slaughter of the children of Afghanistan. Those photos are very hard to look at.

So how is OUR presence there helping those people keep their children safe? And how are we any better than the Taliban? I really don't think we are in a position to point at the Taliban or anyone else and act horrified at what they do. And that is the saddest part of it all. We have no moral authority anymore.

5. What isn't wrong with this picture?
Seven years old, and they've executed him. Well, shame on them, and if Karzai is using little kids, shame on him too.

6. And we just shot a 14 year old for throwing rocks.
And are attempting to justify it by claiming he was smuggling people across the border.

We are as bad as they are.

9. Just like them damn christian home schoolers here
Why just the other day my sister's church stoned a 7 yr old for not saying prayers while doing their home work.

Happens all the time with them crazy fundie home schooling types.

(Thought I would throw that in before the others arrive and mention just how very similar christians are to the islamist extremists. IBTC - in before the comparison)

Just saying. It's not as if there's only one form of deadly fundamentalism.

15. well....
..I'm sure the Taliban all feel so much safer now that this 007 type of activity has been stopped in it's tracks. Because you know, 7 year olds have had so many years of extensive and in depth training to actually do the job that cannot be filled by another.
